What is Everyday Insight?
Everyday Insight is a mental wellness companion app offering guided worksheets, mood tracking, self-assessments, and guided exercises rooted in evidence-based therapies: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and positive psychology.
Is my data private?
Yes. All your data stays on your device (or your personal iCloud if you enable sync). We do not operate any servers, we do not collect analytics, and we never share or sell your data. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
- Delete individual entries. Swipe to delete on any saved entry in a worksheet's history.
- Delete by category. Go to More → Settings → Data & Privacy for per-category deletion with confirmation.
- Delete everything. Go to More → Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete All Data.
- Uninstall the app. This removes all local data immediately.
- Remove iCloud data. Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Insight.
How do I export my data?
Go to More → Settings → Data & Privacy → Export Raw Data. The app generates CSV files of your entries, which you can save or share via the standard iOS share sheet. You can also create encrypted backup files (More → Settings → Data & Privacy → Backup & Restore) for safekeeping.
Does the app replace therapy?
No. Everyday Insight is a self-help and educational tool based on evidence-based therapeutic techniques. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are struggling, please reach out to a licensed therapist, counselor, or your healthcare provider.
How do I sync across devices?
Everyday Insight uses iCloud sync. Make sure iCloud Drive is turned on for the app: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Insight. Your data syncs automatically across all your devices signed into the same Apple ID. No account creation is needed. Your Apple ID handles everything.
What is in the app?
Everyday Insight includes 60+ guided worksheets across the major therapeutic frameworks:
- CBT. Thought Record, Mood Journal, Activity Schedule, ABC Analysis, Behavioral Experiments, Decatastrophizing, Exposure Hierarchy, Cognitive Distortion analysis, Downward Arrow, and more.
- DBT. Emotion Regulation, Diary Card, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Opposite Action, Radical Acceptance, TIPP Skills, Chain Analysis, and more.
- ACT. Values Worksheet, Values Card Sort, Committed Action, Choice Point, Cognitive Defusion, and more.
- Sleep. Sleep Diary, Sleep Hygiene, Sleep Restriction, Stimulus Control.

How do streaks work?
A streak counts consecutive days where you saved at least one worksheet entry. You can take rest days each week to skip a day without losing your streak. Configure rest days in More → Settings → Streaks (the default is 1 rest day per week).
How do I share progress with my therapist?
Everyday Insight includes a comprehensive Therapist Report feature. Go to Insights → Therapist Report, customize which sections to include, and generate a PDF. Share it via email, AirDrop, or any other method through the iOS share sheet. If your therapist uses the app's prescription feature, they can also share a code (or QR code) that creates a personalized worksheet path for you to follow.
How do I enable Apple Health integration?
Go to More → Settings → Health Data and tap "Connect to Apple Health." You will be prompted to grant permission for the specific data types the app uses: sleep, exercise, heart rate, HRV, and more. All HealthKit data stays on your device.
How do I manage notifications?
Go to More → Settings → Notifications & Reminders → Manage Notifications to configure daily reminders, streak alerts, assessment reminders, and other categories. All notifications are local and generated on your device. No push notifications come from any server.
What are achievements?
Everyday Insight includes 40+ achievements across 7 categories (Streaks, Milestones, Explorer, Dedication, Mindfulness, Self-Assessments, Wellness), each available in four tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). You unlock them as you build consistency, try new worksheet types, complete assessments, and hit usage milestones.
What is the Guided Helper?
The Guided Helper (More → Guided Helper) lets you describe what you are feeling in your own words, and recommends worksheets and exercises most likely to help. It is useful when you are not sure which tool fits the moment.
I dismissed a worksheet tip. Can I see it again?
Yes. Go to More → Help & FAQ and tap "Show All Worksheet Tips Again." The next time you open each worksheet, you will see its introductory tip.
Can I replay the Feature Tour?
Yes. Go to More → Help & FAQ → Replay Feature Tour.
Can I re-run the initial setup?
Yes. Go to More → Settings → Data & Privacy → Re-run Setup. This walks you through the welcome flow again to update your name, goals, focus areas, and tracker selections. Your existing data and notification settings are preserved.
